Basic Drone Pilot Training

 

Drone-Outaouais, offers a complete training in basic operations to prepare pilots for the Transport Canada basic exam.

 

The training aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Transport Canada exam.

 

The courses are designed to cover all theoretical and practical aspects of basic operations, including current regulations, safety procedures, and piloting skills.

Flight Review

 

For drone pilots who have successfully completed their Transport Canada advanced exams, the flight review is a crucial step in maintaining and improving their piloting skills.

 

This review is designed to ensure that advanced pilots remain compliant with the high standards of safety and proficiency required by Transport Canada.

 

 

Flight Review Objectives:

 

The flight review for advanced drone pilots is primarily intended to:

 

  • Provide a satisfactory site survey;
  • Use appropriate and current aeronautical charts and other current flight publications;
  • Properly identify airspace, obstacles and topographical features;
  • Select a safe and efficient take-off site and flight route;
  • Obtain all relevant information on local air routes and aerodromes;
  • Retrieve and interpret weather data and NOTAMs relevant to the intended flight;
  • Determine the acceptability of existing or forecast weather conditions;
  • Select the most favourable altitudes, taking into account weather conditions and equipment limitations;
  • Determine the appropriate departure procedure;
  • Determine the impact on the flight of their small RPAS of equipment inoperability or equipment configuration changes for the intended flight;
  • Arrange and arrange materials and equipment so that they are easily accessible.

Advanced Drone Pilot Training
